Wendy Gers lectures at l’École Nationale Supérieure d’Art, Limoges, France. She is curating the forthcoming First Central China International Ceramics Biennale, and was curator of the 2014 Taiwan Ceramics Biennale and a Research Associate in the Visual Identities in Art and Design Research Centre (VIAD), University of Johannesburg.
The author presented at the book launch on her work, in conversation with South Africa ceramicist and FADA Gallery Director, Eugene Hon. Scorched Earth is the first comprehensive history of fine art potteries in southern Africa, with a focus on pioneer ceramic studios and workshops.
