Sule Ameh James
SULE AMEH JAMES obtained his Ph.D. in Visual Studies from the Department of Visual Arts, University of Pretoria, South Africa. He is a lecturer in the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts, Federal College of Education, Zaria-Nigeria. He is interested in modern and contemporary arts, visual culture, and digital humanities. After completing his doctorate programme, he has converted several sections and chapters of his Ph.D. research into articles.
Sule’s work has been published in journals such as Art is On, Critical Intervention, World Arts, African Identities, Visual Studies and Journal of Decolonising Disciplines amongst others. His first book manuscript on “How to Market Paintings and Other Forms of Art, An Entrepreneurial Book for Artists” has been reviewed for publication. He has also presented at some national and international conferences. His current research focuses on visual identities in African art, gender, social justice in art and social media, curatorial and heritage studies.
