Sipho Mdanda

 

Sipho Mdanda is a Curator at Freedom Park and Research Associate at ‘The Visual Identities in Art and Design Research Centre (VIAD) at the University of Johannesburg’. He has taught Art education at Wits Technikon (UJ) and Fort Hare Universities and currently is external examiner at Unisa and Wits schools of art. He has published in accredited, ‘Peer-reviewed and edited books and journals’ and curated exhibitions both nationally and internationally. He won ‘The FitzSimons Award’ for the best paper, titled: “Social Cohesion versus Coercion: How Freedom Park seeks to unite South Africans through Inclusive Nationalism” held in Kimberley 2013.
